I've spent the better part of the past week watching movies from my girlfriend's father's DVD collection. I had originally wanted to write up individual thoughts, recollections, and musings on the titles I took in, but I think the below list -- alone -- has more strength than any commentary I could provide...

If you're wondering at all about how all these films came to become part of my girlfriend's father's library (as I was personally baffled to find Doctor Zhivago sharing shelf space with Reign of Fire), I have an answer. Upon questioning my girlfriend's father, he revealed to me the secret behind his most excellent collection. If he sees a DVD -- any DVD -- for under $10, he buys it.
And, while this should be obvious, he refuses to buy any DVD that's over $9.99.
